This English‑taught Master of Environmental Management and Sustainable Development program is jointly built by Tongji University and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It is specially oriented toward international students, government officials and research practitioners who focus on global environmental governance, pollution treatment and sustainable‑development goals. Core courses include global environmental governance, water‑resource management, climate‑change adaptation and mitigation, ecological‑risk assessment, urban sustainable‑development practice, environmental‑policy formulation and disaster‑risk reduction. Teaching resources integrate university professors, UN senior experts and international environmental‑research scholars. Apart from classroom lectures, students can take part in field investigation projects across China, international environmental‑policy seminars and cooperative research tasks with UN‑affiliated institutions.
