Terms and conditions governing your use of the LetsTern platform and services.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Letstern Limited (“LetsTern,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) governing your access to and use of the LetsTern website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. About LetsTern
LetsTern is a digital education platform that connects students with universities, scholarships, courses, service providers, and educational resources worldwide. We provide information, tools, and intermediary services to support international education planning and applications.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, LetsTern acts as a platform and consultancy facilitator and is not the direct provider of third-party academic programs, visas, or admissions decisions.
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age, or have verifiable parental or guardian consent where required by law;
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information; and
- Comply with all applicable local and international laws.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security breach.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.
4. Use of the Platform
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes;
- Upload false, infringing, or harmful content;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- Interfere with the proper functioning or security of the Platform;
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute Platform content without prior written consent;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
5. Services and Third Parties
The Platform may display or link to content, programs, institutions, or services operated by third parties. LetsTern does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or outcomes of third-party offerings.
Where you engage independent counsellors, freelancers, universities, or other partners through the Platform, separate terms may apply between you and those parties. LetsTern is not liable for acts or omissions of independent service providers except as required by law.
6. Fees and Payments
Certain features or services may require payment. Applicable fees, billing terms, and refund policies will be disclosed before you complete a transaction. You authorize us and our payment partners to process payments in accordance with those terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, branding, software, design, and materials are owned by LetsTern or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant LetsTern a limited license to use, store, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Platform.
8. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LetsTern disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Information on the Platform is for general guidance only and does not constitute legal, immigration, financial, or academic advice. You should verify all information independently before making decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LetsTern shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of the Platform.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to LetsTern for the relevant service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or £100 if no such payment was made.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LetsTern, its directors, employees, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
