This full‑time English‑taught Master of Health and Environmental Sciences programme is operated by Institute for Advanced Study, Shenzhen University. It is an interdisciplinary programme combining environmental‑science, life‑science and public‑health research. Core courses include Advanced Environmental‑Health Science, Environmental Pollution and Human‑Health Risk Assessment, Ecological‑Environment Monitoring Technology, Environmental‑Bioanalysis, Public‑Health Risk Evaluation, Interdisciplinary‑Science‑Research Methodology, Academic‑Manuscript‑Writing and Thesis‑Standardisation, alongside thematic seminars focusing on global frontier environmental‑and‑health‑research hot‑spots. During 2‑3‑year full‑time study, students need to finish compulsory and elective course‑credit requirements, attend institute‑level academic‑forums, complete multi‑lab rotation practice, join faculty‑managed environmental‑and‑health‑research‑projects and accumulate hands‑on field‑investigation and laboratory‑experimental‑experience. Every admitted master‑student will receive one‑to‑one academic‑guidance from a faculty supervisor. Under supervisor’s direction, students will accomplish extensive‑literature‑review, research‑hypothesis formulation, experimental‑scheme‑design, sample‑collection‑and‑processing, data‑acquisition‑and‑statistical‑analysis, research‑result‑summary‑and‑paper‑drafting, and complete qualified original master‑graduation‑thesis. Applicants must submit authenticated bachelor‑degree‑certificate and complete official academic‑transcript issued by accredited higher‑education‑institutions. Applicants holding biology, environmental‑science, public‑health, chemistry or other related STEM‑academic‑backgrounds get priority for admission review. Non‑native‑English‑speaking applicants shall provide valid English‑proficiency‑documents: IELTS overall score 6.5 or TOEFL iBT ≥90. Applicants who have completed full‑time degree programmes fully taught in English may apply for language‑score‑exemption with official supporting‑documents for university‑administrative‑review. Applicant age generally shall not exceed 35‑years‑old, and physical‑mental‑health condition shall meet medical‑examination‑requirements for Chinese‑student‑visa‑application. After satisfying all curriculum‑assessment‑standards and successfully passing master‑thesis‑defence, graduates obtain official master‑degree‑diploma issued by Shenzhen University. Graduates can pursue research‑positions in international environmental‑research‑institutes, public‑health‑organisations, environmental‑protection high‑tech‑enterprises, cross‑border ecological‑consulting‑institutions, or proceed to pursue doctoral‑level‑academic‑study overseas.
