University of Warwick – Chancellor’s International Scholarships

United Kingdom GBP 20,000

The Chancellor’s International Scholarships are Warwick’s flagship research scholarships, aimed at the most exceptional overseas PhD applicants. For the academic year 2025/26, up to 42 scholarships are available, covering full fees, stipend for 3.5 years, £5,000 research grant, and part-support for immigration. Applicants from any discipline are welcome, and awards are based solely on academic and research excellence.

Edinburgh Global Research Scholarship

PhD United Kingdom

The Edinburgh Global Research Scholarship supports highly talented international students by covering the premium between overseas and Home/EU tuition for PhD study. Each year, around 30 awards are available. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and research promise, and is renewable for up to three years to support PhD completion.

Cambridge International Scholarship

PhD United Kingdom GBP 17,000

Administered by the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust, the Cambridge International Scholarships aim to attract the most academically outstanding PhD candidates worldwide. Each year, the Trust awards approximately 80 scholarships to international students (excluding UK and Ireland) based solely on research potential and excellence. The scholarship covers full fees, provides a maintenance grant, and supports mobility through covering the Health Surcharge. If departments or external funds provide partial support, the Trust complements the rest to ensure full funding.
