The eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Non-French nationals (no dual French citizenship)
- Master’s applicants: maximum age 25 (or under 27 depending on source)
- PhD applicants: maximum age 30–32
- Must apply to a host institution eligible for the Eiffel Programme
Not currently benefiting from other French government scholarships (e.g., Erasmus+)

- Recommendation letters (max 3)
- Proof of language proficiency if required
