Eligibility

Who can apply and what academic or personal criteria you need to meet.

The eligibility criteria is as follows:

  • Non-French nationals (no dual French citizenship)
    • Master’s applicants: maximum age 25 (or under 27 depending on source)
    • PhD applicants: maximum age 30–32
    • Must apply to a host institution eligible for the Eiffel Programme

Not currently benefiting from other French government scholarships (e.g., Erasmus+)

  • Apply to a French university’s eligible Master’s or PhD program and request consideration for the Eiffel Scholarship.
    • Submit high-quality documents including:
      • CV (1–2 pages)

      • Academic transcripts and diplomas
      • Recommendation letters (max 3)
      • Proof of language proficiency if required
    • Pre-selection by university → submit by institution to Campus France
