 Marine Engineering is a full‑time English‑taught academic master programme run by School of Marine Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University. As one of the featured superior disciplines of the university, this programme focuses on underwater vehicle design, marine power system research, underwater acoustic technology, marine equipment structural reliability and ocean‑oriented intelligent equipment research directions. Its teaching system combines systematic theoretical knowledge teaching, marine‑related simulation experiment practice, high‑level academic seminars and research group project practice. Every international student is assigned a professional supervisor, providing full‑cycle academic guidance covering course selection, research topic demonstration, project practice and thesis writing. Students are required to finish compulsory and elective course credits, participate in marine engineering research projects, complete independent original master dissertation and pass thesis defence so as to obtain the official master degree issued by Northwestern Polytechnical University.
