About the programme

Choose knowledge for uncertain times!

We live in the age of economic uncertainty and experimentation. The Political Economy MA programme at Corvinus prepares you to understand and deal with these uncertain times. It does so by opening up intellectual horizons for you. Moving beyond narrowly defined models and intellectual silos, the programme offers an intellectually stimulating exploration of how political and economic life interact and influence social and economic outcomes. It maintains a balance between theoretical and practical knowledge on the institutional stability and change of various political and economic systems, focusing on their role in economic development and their intended and unintended social, political, and economic consequences.

  • Exceptional career opportunities: the programme opens doors as analysts, consultants, or project managers in multinational companies, consulting firms, intergovernmental organizations, international NGOs, research institutes, public administration, or the media.
  • Develop critical analytical skills: sharpen your analytical edge and cultivate a critical mindset essential for understanding contemporary political and economic phenomena.
  • Gain a holistic perspective: acquire a deep, systemic understanding of contemporary political and economic developments, giving you a fresh approach to complex global issues.
  • Enhance professional competencies: build professional-grade skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, which are essential in today’s competitive job market.
  • Join a thriving community: become part of a vibrant student body with regular social events, study visits, and collaborative learning experiences that enhance your academic journey.
