This full‑time English‑taught Master of Electrical and Computer Engineering postgraduate programme is hosted by the School of Electric Power Engineering of South China University of Technology. The programme integrates electrical power system, power electronics technology, embedded computer system, intelligent control and new‑energy‑related knowledge system. It is committed to cultivating international compound engineering talents who master core theories of electrical and computer engineering, have practical ability to solve complex engineering problems, understand the development trend of global energy‑power industry, and own cross‑cultural cooperation awareness. Core courses include Advanced Power System Analysis, Power Electronic Conversion Technology, Intelligent Control Theory, Embedded System Design, New Energy Power Generation Technology, Electrical Equipment Digital Monitoring, Computer Vision for Industrial Application, Energy Internet Technology, and Electrical Engineering Frontier Seminar. Students need to finish required course credits, attend academic lectures, complete laboratory experiments and participate in engineering research projects arranged by the school. Each student will receive guidance from professional supervisors. Under supervisor’s direction, students will carry out literature research, simulation analysis, experimental verification and complete independent master dissertation research work. Applicants need to submit authenticated bachelor diploma and full academic transcript from recognised higher‑education institutions. Relevant engineering background is preferred for admission. Non‑native‑English applicants need to provide valid English proficiency certificates such as IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80; English‑medium‑background applicants can apply for language exemption with official supporting documents. Applicants are expected to master basic circuit theory and computer‑related fundamental knowledge. After completing all course assessment and passing thesis defence, students will obtain official master degree certificate awarded by South China University of Technology. Graduates can engage in technical research, system design, project management and technical support work in global power‑energy enterprises, automation equipment manufacturers, new‑energy organisations, research institutes and international engineering‑consulting institutions.
