In our distance learning program in mechanical engineering, we'll explore the new worlds of technology together – for example, in the digitized Industry 4.0!

Study profile

Mechanical and plant engineering is one of the largest industrial sectors in Germany and is considered a key industry. Mechanical engineers enjoy an excellent reputation and are in high demand as skilled workers in the job market.

With the Bachelor's distance learning program in Mechanical Engineering at HFH, you will acquire engineering and scientific knowledge that prepares you for diverse tasks in production, product management, research and development.

During your bachelor's studies, you will acquire solid basic knowledge in various technical subjects and deal with highly topical issues such as digitalization and Industry 4.0 .

In your chosen specialization , you select from the following subject areas: Design and Development , Production Engineering/Economics , Robotics , Smart Products & Services , or Human-Machine Interaction . More specialized topics such as 3D printing are also covered. The HFH's broad range of disciplines fosters an interdisciplinary approach .
