• Must hold or be applying for a “College Student"visa
• Must be a privately financed international student (recipients of MEXT or foreign government scholarships are ineligible)
• Must have a grade point average of 2.30 or higher (on a 3.00 scale)
• Must not be receiving or planning to receive other designated scholarships

What is covered
Tuition, living costs, and other expenses included in this award.
Monthly living/research stipend of JPY 200,000. Tuition is NOT covered — recipients must separately apply for tuition exemption after enrollment . Recipients are required to withdraw any tuition exemption application if awarded the fellowship.
