o ENS admits 20 international students annually—10 in Sciences and 10 in Arts & Humanities—into Bachelor’s (Licence 3) or Master’s (M1) with rigorous training alongside high-level researchers. Awarded students earn both a Master’s degree and ENS diploma.

Eligibility
Who can apply and what academic or personal criteria you need to meet.
The eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Must be under 26 years old as of 1 December.
- First-time applicants to this International Selection (no repeat applications).
- Must not have lived in France for more than 10 months in the selection year or previous year.
Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies abroad in the year before application; and will have at least two years by September following admission.

The requirements are as follows:
- Fill out initial application via ENS portal.
- Upon shortlist, take written and oral tests remotely (Arts & Humanities: written + oral; Sciences: oral interviews only).
Submit required documents: passport/ID, transcript, CV, motivation letter, research study proposal (max 3 pages or 10,000 characters), letters of recommendation, etc.
What is covered
Tuition, living costs, and other expenses included in this award.
The scholarship includes coverage for:
- Monthly stipend: €1,000 per month, for 3 years (36 months).
- Accommodation: Free housing on ENS campus.
Tuition: Waived—state-funded; students pay minimal registration fees.
