About this program

What this degree covers and what you can expect from the university.

This two‑year full‑time double‑degree joint program is co‑launched by Peking University and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for outstanding non‑Chinese international graduate students and young professionals focusing on global international‑affairs research and practice. Participants spend study periods respectively at PKU Beijing campus and LSE UK campus, and will receive two separate master degrees upon graduation. The curriculum combines European‑originated international‑relations theoretical frameworks with China‑centered global‑governance research, covering international political economy, global security issues, comparative regional studies and multilateral diplomacy. Teaching resources are shared by faculties of both universities. Students are required to finish course credits and thesis tasks according to dual‑institution academic standards. This program builds a transnational multicultural learning community. Graduates gain dual‑degree qualification and are competitive for positions within multilateral organizations, diplomatic departments, international policy research institutes and global non‑governmental organizations.
