This full‑time English‑taught Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages programme is delivered by the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Qinghai Normal University. Rooted in multi‑ethnic cultural environment of Qinghai‑Tibet Plateau, this programme focuses on cultivating high‑level practical talents for international Chinese‑language education and cross‑cultural communication among multi‑ethnic regions. The curriculum includes second‑language acquisition theories, modern Chinese linguistics, Chinese traditional culture, ethnic culture research of Qinghai‑Tibet Plateau, intercultural communication, Chinese teaching methodology and teaching practice. Every international graduate student is assigned a dedicated supervisor, who offers comprehensive guidance for course selection, internship arrangement, research topic screening and thesis composition. Students are required to complete all compulsory and elective course credits, finish required Chinese‑teaching practice hours, conduct independent research and pass formal thesis defence to obtain the master degree. Eligible overseas applicants may apply for Chinese Government Scholarship and university‑level scholarships to support their postgraduate studies.
