Within 2.5‑year full‑time study cycle, students need to finish compulsory‑and‑elective‑course‑credit‑requirements, take part in school‑hosted linguistic‑academic‑forums, complete supervised language‑teaching‑practice tasks, and receive one‑on‑one academic‑guidance from assigned faculty supervisor. Under supervisor direction, students will conduct comprehensive academic‑literature‑review, research‑subject‑formulation, corpus‑data‑collection‑and‑analysis, research‑result‑sorting‑and‑scholarly‑article‑drafting, and complete original master‑graduation‑thesis and pass formal thesis‑defence. Applicants shall submit authenticated bachelor‑degree‑certificate and full official academic‑transcript issued by recognised higher‑education‑institutions. Applicants with linguistics, foreign‑language‑education or other humanities‑related backgrounds receive priority consideration during admission 
assessment. Non‑native‑English‑speaking applicants need valid English‑proficiency‑certificates: IELTS overall band 6.5 or TOEFL iBT ≥90. Applicants whose prior full‑degree programme is fully English‑taught can apply for language‑score‑exemption by submitting official supporting‑documents for university‑administrative‑review. Applicant age generally shall not exceed 35‑years‑old and physical‑mental‑health‑status must meet Chinese‑student‑visa‑medical‑check‑criteria. After fulfilling all curriculum‑requirements and successfully passing master‑thesis‑defence, graduates obtain official master‑degree‑diploma issued by Zhejiang University. Graduates can take language‑research, foreign‑language‑teaching positions in overseas universities, international cultural‑exchange‑organisations, language‑education‑research‑departments, or proceed to pursue further doctoral‑level‑humanities‑study across the globe.
