Tuition €3,250 3250 EUR per academic year• Fee description: €3250 tuition fee per academic year, equivalent to RMB 25000 per academic year for this English‑taught master programme. Non‑refundable application fee €52 (CNY 400) shall be paid upon application submission. Tuition fee is for 2026 intake and subject to official university revision. Qualified applicants can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship and China University of Petroleum institutional scholarships to cover partial or full tuition costs. Accommodation, mandatory medical insurance, residence permit fees, textbooks, laboratory consumables and all personal living expenses are excluded from tuition fees. All charges comply with China University of Petroleum financial regulations for international postgraduate students.

This full‑time English‑taught Master of Environmental Engineering programme is offered by College of Environmental Science and Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China). Combined with the university’s energy‑discipline characteristics, this programme focuses on environmental pollution control in energy‑production process, water‑soil ecological restoration, waste‑resource utilisation and global 
environmental‑governance issues. Major research directions include oil‑field environmental pollution prevention and control, water‑pollution treatment technology, solid‑waste resource recycling, soil‑ecological restoration, carbon‑emission reduction technology research. The programme aims to cultivate high‑level international environmental‑engineering talents who master systematic environmental‑engineering theoretical system, possess pollution‑control‑process design, environmental‑monitoring analysis, engineering‑practice and scientific‑research innovation capabilities, as well as cross‑cultural academic‑exchange competence. The curriculum consists of advanced postgraduate core environmental‑engineering courses, characteristic energy‑environment‑oriented elective modules, frontier environmental‑science academic seminars, laboratory experimental training, enterprise‑field‑investigation practice, supervisor‑led research‑project participation and master‑thesis research work. Representative core courses include Advanced Water Pollution Control 
Engineering, Energy Industry Environmental Protection, Solid Waste Recycling Technology, Ecological Restoration Theory, Environmental Research Methodology and Academic Thesis Standardised Writing. During three‑year full‑time study period, students need to complete all compulsory and elective credit requirements, attend domestic and international environmental‑engineering academic conferences and technical workshops, finish laboratory experimental training and environmental‑protection‑enterprise site investigation, join faculty‑managed environmental‑research projects and accumulate engineering‑practice experience. Each enrolled student receives one‑on‑one academic guidance from supervisors. Under supervisor instruction, students carry out literature collection and review, research‑scheme formulation, experimental‑parameter debugging, sample‑data testing and statistical analysis, research‑outcome summarisation and thesis drafting, and finally complete original master thesis and pass thesis defence. Applicants must 
submit authenticated bachelor‑degree certificate and full official academic transcript issued by accredited higher‑education institutions. Applicants with environmental engineering, chemical engineering or ecology‑related STEM backgrounds are prioritised for admission assessment. Non‑native English‑speaking applicants shall provide valid English‑proficiency certificates such as IELTS or TOEFL. Applicants who have finished full‑degree programmes fully taught in English may apply for language‑score exemption by submitting official supporting documents for university internal review. Applicant age generally shall not exceed 35 years old, and physical‑mental health condition must satisfy medical‑examination criteria for Chinese student‑visa application. After completing all curriculum assessment requirements and successfully passing thesis defence, graduates are awarded official master‑degree diploma issued by China University of Petroleum (East China). Graduates can take environmental‑engineering design, pollution‑control technical‑research 
posts in environmental‑protection enterprises, scientific‑research institutes, energy‑corporations environmental‑management departments, or pursue further PhD‑level academic study worldwide.
