Master of Electronic Science and Technology

This full‑time English‑taught Master of Electronic Science and Technology programme 
is offered by the School of Information Science and Engineering at Southeast University. The university’s information and electronic discipline is among the top tier in China, featuring prominent research strength in wireless communication, radio frequency technology and microelectronic devices. This research‑oriented postgraduate programme responds to global development trend of electronic information industry. Major research directions include wireless communication technology, radio frequency circuit system, signal and information processing, microelectronics and integrated circuit, internet‑of‑things perception technology. The programme aims to cultivate high‑level international electronic information talents who master solid electronic theoretical knowledge, possess circuit design, signal analysis and system development capabilities, independent scientific‑research innovation awareness and good cross‑cultural academic exchange competence. The curriculum consists of advanced postgraduate core engineering courses, discipline‑
oriented elective modules, cutting‑edge electronic technology academic seminars, laboratory rotation training, supervisor‑led research project participation and master thesis research work. Representative core courses include Advanced Communication Theory, Radio Frequency Circuit Design, Digital Signal Processing, Microelectronics Technology, Internet of Things System, Electronic Engineering Research Methodology, Academic Writing and Thesis Standardisation, and serial thematic seminars tracking global electronic information research frontiers. During the 3‑year full‑time study period, students need to complete all compulsory and elective credit requirements, attend domestic and international electronic information academic conferences and technical workshops, finish multi‑group laboratory rotation practice, take part in faculty‑managed information research projects and accumulate sufficient experimental practical experience. Every admitted student will receive one‑on‑one academic supervision from faculty member. Under 
supervisor guidance, students will finish comprehensive literature review, research scheme design, circuit debugging and simulation test, experimental data statistics and analysis, research result sorting and academic paper drafting, and finally complete original master graduation thesis and pass thesis defence. Applicants must submit authenticated bachelor degree certificate and full official academic transcript issued by accredited higher education institutions. Applicants with communication engineering, electronic information science, microelectronics and related engineering backgrounds receive priority consideration. Non‑native English‑speaking applicants need valid English proficiency certificates such as IELTS or TOEFL. Applicants who have finished full‑degree programmes fully taught in English can apply for language score exemption by submitting official supporting documents for university internal review. Applicant age generally should not exceed 35 years old, and physical‑mental health condition must satisfy medical examination criteria for 
Chinese student visa. After fulfilling all curriculum assessment requirements and successfully passing thesis defence, graduates are awarded official master degree diploma issued by Southeast University. Graduates can take research‑and‑development positions in electronic research institutes, communication technology enterprises, high‑tech electronic manufacturing corporations, or pursue further PhD‑level academic study worldwide.
