This full‑time English‑taught academic master programme in Electronic Science and Technology belongs to the School of Information Science and Technology of USTC. The programme focuses on core frontiers of modern electronic and information science, including microelectronics and solid‑state electronics, radio‑frequency circuit system, optoelectronic technology, information sensing and detection technology, integrated‑circuit design and semiconductor‑material research. Teaching activities combine systematic theoretical lectures, specialised laboratory experiments, frontier research seminars, supervisor‑led research projects and academic‑paper reading workshops. Students will receive comprehensive training covering circuit design, semiconductor‑device analysis, optoelectronic‑system debugging, chip‑related simulation and experimental‑data processing. Under the guidance of supervisors, students participate in ongoing scientific‑research projects, master mainstream research tools and experimental platforms, and explore practical scientific‑research problems in electronic‑information domain. Students are obligated to complete all curriculum credit requirements, participate in departmental academic events, accomplish independent research tasks, write a research‑focused master thesis and pass formal defence before obtaining master degree. Graduates can pursue further doctoral studies, or engage in research, chip design, optoelectronic‑product development and technical‑support jobs in international research institutes, semiconductor enterprises, communications‑technology corporations and high‑tech electronic‑product manufacturers all over the world.
