This full‑time English‑taught Master of Computer Technology programme belongs to the School of Computer Science and Technology of Guizhou University. The programme focuses on big‑data processing, artificial intelligence application, cloud computing and information security, combining local big‑data industry development advantages of Guizhou province. Course modules include artificial intelligence fundamentals, big‑data analysis technology, computer network and intelligent‑system development. Students can take part in campus research laboratories and industry‑university‑cooperation projects during their study period. Every enrolled international student is matched with a supervisor to guide academic study and project research. Students must finish all course credit requirements, complete practical research projects and pass master thesis defence to get the graduate degree. Methods such as machine learning and deep learning make it possible to extract valuable insights from large datasets and to develop innovative products and services.Data scientists are masters of data analysis and data insights. They are needed in all sectors of the economy where in-depth data knowledge is required and data-driven decisions are made. They work in startups and medium-sized companies as well as in the research and development departments of large, globally operating corporations.The HFH distance learning program in Data Science offers you comprehensive and interdisciplinary training in statistics, computer science, and business analytics to optimally prepare you for the challenges of the data-driven age.During the program, you will learn various techniques and methods for generating new insights from large datasets. This includes the use of both classic statistical models and artificial intelligence methods . In the practical project labs , you will apply your knowledge directly in interdisciplinary projects.To support your learning, we offer online seminars for all modules . Many seminars can also be attended in person at selected study centers.In the state-approved distance learning program Data Science, you can obtain a Bachelor of Science with 180 ECTS credits in 8 semesters or a Bachelor of Engineering with 210 ECTS credits in 9 semesters .By increasing the workload per semester, you can reduce the study duration to 6 semesters (B.Sc.) or 7 semesters (B.Eng.) .
