Master of Computer Technology is a full‑time English‑taught international master programme under the College of Computer and Big‑data Science, Fuzhou University. Research directions cover big‑data analysis and processing, artificial intelligence application, computer network security, embedded system development and intelligent information system construction. The curriculum consists of advanced computer technology lectures, algorithm and software practice, engineering development projects, professional academic seminars and technical research training. Each international student is matched with a professional supervisor to offer full‑process guidance for project research, code debugging, data analysis and dissertation writing. Students must finish all required course credits, participate in computer‑technology‑related research projects, complete independent master dissertation and pass thesis defence to get the master degree issued by Fuzhou University. Formal extension approval allows maximum study duration up to 4 years. Graduates can take up software development, big‑data mining, intelligent system research and information security technical posts in scientific research institutes, internet enterprises and information technology industries. Overseas candidates satisfying admission criteria can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship and university‑funded scholarships.

Methods such as machine learning and deep learning make it possible to extract valuable insights from large datasets and to develop innovative products and services.Data scientists are masters of data analysis and data insights. They are needed in all sectors of the economy where in-depth data knowledge is required and data-driven decisions are made. They work in startups and medium-sized companies as well as in the research and development departments of large, globally operating corporations.The HFH distance learning program in Data Science offers you comprehensive and interdisciplinary training in statistics, computer science, and business analytics to optimally prepare you for the challenges of the data-driven age.During the program, you will learn various techniques and methods for generating new insights from large datasets. This includes the use of both classic statistical models and artificial intelligence methods . In the practical project labs , you will apply your knowledge directly in interdisciplinary projects.To support your learning, we offer online seminars for all modules . Many seminars can also be attended in person at selected study centers.In the state-approved distance learning program Data Science, you can obtain a Bachelor of Science with 180 ECTS credits in 8 semesters or a Bachelor of Engineering with 210 ECTS credits in 9 semesters .By increasing the workload per semester, you can reduce the study duration to 6 semesters (B.Sc.) or 7 semesters (B.Eng.) .
