This full‑time English‑taught Master of Computer Science and Technology programme is delivered by the School of Computer Science and Technology at Shandong University. Rooted in solid computer discipline construction and abundant engineering research resources, this research‑oriented postgraduate programme keeps pace with global information technology development trends. Major research directions include artificial intelligence and machine learning, 
big‑data processing technology, computer network security, software development theory and technology, computer vision and intelligent system research. The programme aims to cultivate high‑level international computer science talents who master systematic computer theoretical knowledge, possess algorithm design, software development, data analysis and scientific‑research innovation capabilities, independent research thinking and excellent cross‑cultural academic communication competence. The curriculum consists of advanced postgraduate core computer courses, discipline‑specific elective modules, cutting‑edge IT‑industry academic seminars, laboratory research rotation training, supervisor‑led research project participation and master thesis research work. Representative core courses include Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analysis and Mining, Computer Network Security, Advanced Software Engineering, Computer Vision, Computer Science Research Methodology, Academic Writing and Thesis Standardisation, as 
well as serial thematic seminars focusing on global frontier information‑technology hot‑spot topics. During the three‑year full‑time study period, students need to complete all compulsory and elective credit requirements, participate in university‑level computer‑science academic conferences and technical workshops, finish multi‑group laboratory rotation practice, take part in faculty‑managed computer‑related research projects and accumulate sufficient technical research practical experience. Every admitted student receives one‑on‑one academic supervision from faculty supervisors. Under supervisor guidance, students complete comprehensive literature retrieval and review, research scheme design, algorithm model construction and debugging, experimental data testing and statistical analysis, research result summarisation and academic paper drafting, and finally complete original master graduation thesis and pass thesis defence. Applicants must submit authenticated bachelor degree certificate and complete official 
academic transcript issued by accredited higher‑education institutions. Applicants with computer science, software engineering and other information‑science‑related STEM backgrounds get priority in admission assessment. Non‑native English‑speaking applicants shall provide valid English proficiency certificates such as IELTS or TOEFL. Applicants who have completed full‑degree programmes fully delivered in English can apply for language score exemption by submitting official supporting documents for university internal review. Applicant age generally should not exceed 35 years old, and physical‑mental health condition must satisfy medical examination criteria for Chinese student visa application. After completing all curriculum assessment requirements and successfully passing thesis defence, graduates are awarded official master degree diploma issued by Shandong University. Graduates can engage in computer algorithm research, software system development, network security technical work in IT research institutes, 
high‑tech enterprises, internet technology organisations, or pursue further PhD‑level academic study worldwide.
