Master of Civil Engineering is a full‑time English‑taught international master programme offered by the College of Civil Engineering, Fuzhou University. Centered on coastal civil engineering characteristics, this programme focuses on structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering, urban infrastructure construction and coastal building durability research. The curriculum includes advanced civil engineering theory, structural simulation analysis, engineering case study, site investigation practice, academic seminars and research project training. Each international student is assigned a supervisor with rich engineering research background to guide course selection, research scheme formulation and master dissertation writing. Students need to complete all required course credits, participate in civil engineering‑related scientific research and practical projects, finish an independent original master dissertation and pass thesis defence to obtain the official master degree certificate issued by Fuzhou University. Upon formal administrative approval, maximum study period can be extended to 4 years. Graduates can engage in engineering design, technical research, construction management and safety assessment work in design institutes, construction enterprises, scientific research institutions and engineering consulting organisations. Qualified overseas applicants can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship and university‑funded international student scholarships for financial support.
