This full‑time English‑taught Master of Biology programme belongs to the College of Life Science, Northwest Normal University. Centered on the special biological resources of northwest China, this programme carries out research on plant resource protection, drought‑resistance biology, microbial resources, molecular biology and alpine‑grassland biodiversity. The college has molecular‑biology laboratories, biological specimen museum and field ecological‑research bases. Teaching forms include theoretical classroom instruction, molecular‑biology experiments, field biological‑resource surveys, specimen sorting and biology‑oriented academic‑exchange activities. Guided by academic supervisors, international students are permitted to join biodiversity‑relevant research projects. Students must fulfil all course‑credit obligations, complete biology‑scientific‑research work, finish thesis writing and pass formal thesis defence to acquire the master degree certificate. Eligible overseas students can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship and internal university scholarships for study‑funding support.
