Master of Applied Economics is a full‑time English‑taught international master programme run by the School of Economics. Main research directions include international economics, industrial economy, digital economy, public finance and regional economic development. The teaching system combines theoretical lectures, econometric analysis training, economic data research, policy case analysis and academic exchange activities. Every enrolled international student receives one‑to‑one academic supervision. Supervisors guide students on course module selection, research topic demonstration, data processing and thesis composition. Students shall obtain compulsory and elective course credits, complete economics‑related research tasks, finish independent master dissertation and pass final defence for graduation and degree conferral. With formal official approval, maximum study period can be extended to 4 years. Graduates can engage in economic research, policy analysis, industry research and investment analysis work in research institutions, financial organisations and government‑related economic departments. Eligible foreign applicants can submit scholarship applications for Chinese Government Scholarship and university‑provided grants.
