This full‑time English‑taught Master of Applied Economics postgraduate programme targets international students who intend to master modern economic theories, practical economic analysis tools and understand China’s regional economic development characteristics. The curriculum framework consists of compulsory core courses and diversified elective modules, covering macroeconomics, microeconomics, applied econometrics, regional economics, industrial economics, fiscal and taxation research, China’s economic reform and development, international economic cooperation. During the learning process, students are required to complete sufficient course credits, participate in regular academic lectures, economic‑theme seminars and research workshops held by the School of Economics. Every enrolled student will be assigned a professional supervisor with rich research experience in economics field. Under supervisor’s guidance, students will carry out literature sorting, empirical data analysis, complete research project training and finish a qualified master graduation thesis. Applicants must provide authenticated bachelor’s degree certificate and complete official academic transcript issued by recognised higher‑education institutions. Applicants should possess basic economic knowledge background and have competent English listening, speaking, reading and writing competence to adapt to all‑English teaching environment. After finishing all course credit requirements and successfully passing master thesis defence, graduates will obtain official master’s degree diploma issued by Anhui University of Finance and Economics. Graduates can seek career opportunities in international economic research institutions, financial enterprises, government economic‑management departments, cross‑border trade organisations and consulting agencies all over the world.
