This programme focuses on software system design, software development technology, software engineering theory, big data software technology and industrial software practice. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge, software project practice and dissertation research. International students receive one‑to‑one supervision from school faculty members. Students are required to finish all compulsory and elective course credits, complete software‑related research or practical projects, submit independent master thesis and pass thesis defence for graduation. The maximum valid study time for this programme is 4 years if extension application is approved. Graduates can engage in software development, software system design and technical research jobs in internet companies, software‑oriented enterprises and research institutes.
