In the practice-oriented distance learning program in Social Work at HFH, you will acquire a high-quality, interdisciplinary and interprofessional scientific qualification that will enable you to meet the diverse demands of social work.

As a state-certified social worker, you can work in many areas of society, in social institutions and social services.

Social work performs important tasks in providing social services and care . Social workers support people in difficult life situations and help them to lead autonomous lives.

They promote constructive solutions to social problems and enable people to participate in society . Through their work, social workers support social change, promote social cohesion, and are therefore an important pillar of our society.

With its distance learning program in Social Work, HFH offers you the opportunity to earn a state-recognized Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in eight semesters while working. The Bachelor's program in Social Work has been successfully accredited by AQUIN and officially recognized by the Hamburg Authority for Labor, Social Affairs, Family and Integration .

The degree entitles graduates to use the professional titles of state-certified social pedagogue and state-certified social worker .
